From our roots to Casa Umbra: a new chapter

There are journeys that start with a pack of excellent cuts and cheeses and turn, step by step, into something bigger, and so it was for us. Umbrieria was born with a simple idea: bring the best products of Umbria to Malta. We wanted to introduce authentic, artisanal flavors that spoke of a land that is honest and sincere. 

As the time passed by we realized that it wasn’t enough, that Umbria deserves much more. That’s why today, after almost a year and a half from our beginnings, Casa Umbra is born: a project that goes beyond the product, to tell the true soul of our region, through food but also through culture, people, traditions and the philosophy of slow living and "la dolce vita".

Casa Umbra is not just a new name and logo, it’s a new vision. We will still be ambassadors of the Umbrian taste, and we will continue to offer cured meats and cheeses, selected with love, but only those that are truly representative of our tradition and more connected to our land. To these we will add new treasures: extra virgin olive oil, craft beers, wines, legumes, and much more. Always genuine and authentic products, made by hands that carry on the art of "doing well", dedicating time and passion.

Umbria told through Casa Umbra

The goal of this new path is to tell a story made of small villages, families who for generations cultivate with patience, craftsmen working in the silence of the Umbrian countryside. With Casa Umbra our goal is to transmit a slower, more conscious way of life, respectful of traditions. That way of living we call slow living today, but in Umbria it is simply the way one has always lived.

But we will not stop there. We want to bring the hidden beauty of a region that too often remains in the shadows. We will tell its ancient villages, the green and silent landscapes, the peasant traditions, the country revival feasts and festivals, the true stories of those who live and work following the slow rhythm of the seasons. We will talk about culture, nature, spirituality and all Umbrian forms of living life: simple, true, deep.

We will share curiosities about ancient crafts, slow itineraries away from the most popular tourist routes, and everyday moments that tell the true essence of authentic Umbria. We will tell the “Dolce Vita” in its most genuine meaning: not as unbridled luxury, but as balance, beauty in detail, time devoted to what really matters.

Umbria is home

Umbria is home. It is for us, who are born, raised, and then moved or relocated. And perhaps just by being far away we realized how much this land belongs to us. Today, with Casa Umbra, we want to open that house and let in anyone who feels the call of something authentic, more human, and more Italian.

When we were young, perhaps, everything seemed too small. Then, with time and distance, we discovered that in the simplicity of these hills, of these olive groves, of these silences, there is a rare richness. A beauty that does not need noise to be noticed. And so we decided to come back, at least with our hearts, to share what has become a treasure for us.

Our mission is therefore also to make that first step easier for everyone. 

With Casa Umbra we want to create a bridge between those who know Umbria well and those who have never heard of it. A place where every article, every photo, every product tells a piece of an authentic and deep land. We want to be a guide, a voice, an invitation to slow down, to listen, to be inspired.
